As we all know, the holidays are right around the corner. Recently, my Mom showed me an image on Facebook of a wreath made from Pom-poms. I liked the idea, and tried making one. I wasn’t sure if it would work, but it turned out to be a lot simpler than I thought it would be.

These make wonderful gifts, and you cane make them in any shape or size. I have thought of making heart shaped wreaths, or making tiny little ones for hanging on gift bags!

So, without further ado, here are the instructions for making these festive wreaths!

Materials:

  1. Green string (I used multiple shades, but you could just use one color)

  2. Cardboard or another thick material

  3. LOTS of hot glue! (And a glue gun, obviously)

  4. Sharpie or permanent marker

  5. 2 Round items for tracing, one bigger than the other

  6. OPTIONAL: Waxed twine

  7. OPTIONAL: Plastic berries, ribbon, or other accessories

PLEASE NOTE: You can use store bought pom-poms for this, but the finished product will be quite different.

However, if you are going to use store bought pom-poms, you will not need waxed twine or string.

Procedure:

  1. Make your pom-poms! If you don't know how, here is a link to my instructions for making pom-poms.

  2.  Using the round items and the marker, trace your cardboard. (I used a bleach bottle and a mason jar)

  3. Cut the cardboard. The result should be shaped like a donut.

  4. Glue pom-poms ad accessories to the wreath.

  5. You're done! You can give the wreaths as a gift, or simply keep them for yourself!
